Canon Point: Post-Chapter 25, right before the end game fight against Grima
Background/History:
Wiki link!
As a side note, Morgan can be male or female depending on the gender of the player avatar, as stated in the wiki link. I’ll be playing Morgan as female. Her history is full of holes, because, well, she can’t remember anything, and it seems likely that she came from an alternate alternate history, unlike the other children.
Likewise, her family tree can get very convoluted with that in mind, so her support levels with other characters will be left vague until confirmed with castmates.
Personality:
The first impression one would get upon meeting Morgan is that she is genuinely content with life, and this would be a very accurate impression. Despite hardships, amnesia, wars and battles, Morgan is a very cheerful person. She tends to go through life with a smile, and not a whole lot can get her down. For those things that do sadden or baffle her, she only needs a few moments and a new, interesting distraction to be cheerful once again. Rebounding from unhappy circumstances is a family trait, it would seem. Even when amnesiac, lost in an unknown past and almost killed by risen, Morgan bounces back quickly, laughing at the similarities between her situation and her father's. If there is anything dependable about her, it is that she will approach most any difficulty with a smile.
A large part of this is due to the fact that Morgan is extremely hard-headed. "No" is simply not an answer she accepts. If someone reacts negatively to her (such as if they--gasp!--don't want to be friends) she will persistently follow them. If they are that grumpy, something must be wrong! If something is wrong, she wants to help!
Well, she honestly means well with that reasoning, even if it makes her into a pest on occasion. Still, she is certainly helpful in her own way (even when she seems crazy). She's very smart despite her occasional ditziness, and so her solutions, though out of the box and a little bizarre, often do exactly what she intended them to do.
It's a tactician thing.
She is, after all, utterly obsessed with learning tactics, because she's even more obsessed with being just like her Father. Every step she takes is a step she checks--is she catching up to Father? Does she look more like Father? Is she making Father proud? She dwells on this to what could probably be an unhealthy degree, but her focus on it is cheerful and determined, not desperate. To her, Father is perfect, the flawless goal she has for her life; and yet, it doesn't matter that she thinks he is perfect, she still thinks it's a reasonably attainable goal. This says a lot about her as a person; impossible goals seem perfectly plausible to her, and she'll strive for anything that she wants to accomplish.
And again, she'll do this with a smile. Because Morgan is ridiculously honest with her emotions. She is honestly that happy, and she doesn't really try to hide anything. When she's sad, you'll know it; when she's upset (which is a rare occasion indeed), it's very obvious. Of course, it's also this honesty that makes her more than a little insulting sometimes. She doesn't mean anything mean by it, but she definitely calls it like she sees it, without examining what she's saying to see if she'll be hurting someone's feelings by it. The thought just doesn't cross her mind. This leads to her on occasion saying such gems as "Who knows? Maybe being with you will be more fun than seeing you fall on your face" which is really not romantic at all, come now, Morgan.
This honesty doesn't mean she can't be manipulative, though; she's a tactician through and through, and she has her distinct moments of attempting to be that clever and crafty. It just rarely goes her way the moment she needs to lie; she's just terrible at being anything but honest, and it's really obvious when she's acting different. (It also doesn't help that a lot of her friends amongst the second generation characters are a bit dense...she often ends up spelling things out for them.)
Of course, ultimately she's just a very cheerful, quirky kid. Her priorities are all out of whack, and yet it makes perfect sense when she lays it out. She is persistent and annoying, but her heart is always in the right place, and she usually manages to make friends in the end with the people she's interested in. And she doesn't want for much--she only wants to take care of the people she cares about, learn as much as she can, and become as amazing as her father is, someday.
Abilities/Powers: Defaulting to the Tactician class for Morgan, this leaves her with the ability to use magic and swords both. As her stat growths depend on her parentage (which will be left vague), it’s best to say that she’s a jack-of-all-trades, with decent speed, strength, magic resistance and defense, but not excelling in any one in particular. She would at this canon point already be promoted to a Grandmaster
Skills she come equipped with can be broken down as follows:
Veteran: Experience gained is 50% higher when paired with another unit. This can just be translated to the idea that Morgan improves and fights better when fighting with others.
Solidarity: Critical hits and evades are increased by 10 to adjacent allies; in other words, characters fighting close to her are a little bit stronger and faster.
Ignis: Adds either user’s strength to magic stat or user’s magic to strength stat when activated, depending on what weapon is being used. On occasion, Morgan just has a stronger attack than usual.
Rally Spectrum: All allies in a three square range have all stats raised by +4 for one turn. She’s just really good at encouraging and lifting peoples’ spirits would probably be the easiest way to translate this, which is already true for her character.
Astra: On occasion, Morgan will manage five weaker consecutive attacks instead of one strong one.
At this canon point, she is well-versed in warfare and fighting, and brings with her a thunder tome, a fire tome and a steel sword, all of which she can use well. The thunder tome allows her to fire a brief ball of thunder at a target. The elfire tome is similar, allowing her to launch a blast of fire at a target.
The way magic is used is a bit vague in Fire Emblem world, but assuming that the books are a method for them to channel their magic (especially the pages, as it seems those are used as conduits for the spells), and considering Nino can use magic without being able to read in Fire Emblem, despite her tomes being wiped of words, Morgan should still be able to use magic without any difficulty.
She is otherwise well read and very tactics oriented, having been striving to become a tactician like her father since she was a very young child.
Items/Weapons:
(x1) Thunder tome
(x1) Elfire tome
(x1) Steel sword
As a side note, each of these only has a certain number of uses before it breaks, especially the spell tomes.
