[The voice that comes on is very bright and cheerful.]
I suppose you can leave me a message here! So feel freeeee!

But despite that, she knows she has to call him. She can't leave him hanging like this. And so she calls, sounding bleary but alive.]
Mooooorgaaaannn....?

Morgan!!
[ And then he BURSTS THROUGH HER DOOR with phone in hand. ]
You're back...!
no subject
WOW??? Suddenly he is right there, bursting through her door. She's still sprawled on her bed, not having much strength to move from it yet, so honestly, for a moment she just blinks at him.
And then, of course, she grins.]
Oh, heya, Morgan! Sorry, ha ha, I wasn't expecting to disappear for a bit.
no subject
[ He puts his phone away and crosses over to sit on the edge of her bed, inspecting her for any apparent injuries. ]
What happened...?
no subject
Which is what she's peering at (or trying to, it's hard to look at your own neck), pulling at her collar.
(Otherwise, she does not move from the bed, because she still feels a little ill, which she assumes is a side effect of bleeding out.)]
Mmm... I'm still not sure, would you believe that? I have no idea how I got to that place in the first place! Oooh, whoever dragged me there really deserves what's coming to them...!
[...but she can't sustain any sort of anger at all, so ultimately, she just grins at him.]
Unless you mean the disappearance, in which case, I died.
no subject
... I thought as much. When you and Noire disappeared at the same time, I figured you both ran into trouble together. But maybe it's a little more complicated than that... Were you by that creepy box with the statue when it happened, by any chance?
no subject
...Huh?
[...]
Hooooold on. Hold on just one second! Did you say Noire disappeared too?
no subject
... Noire is back now, though. She should be resting in her room.
[ No word yet from Gerome. ]
no subject
She frowns faintly a bit, and then she sighs.]
So Noire died too... I suppose it was pretty dangerous, but I didn't see her or Gerome there at all...
But I suppose I didn't last very long, so that doesn't mean much, ha ha!
[ok morgan]
no subject
She told me a little about what happened with that statue stuff. Gerome wasn't with her either, and she went down pretty fast too, I think...
[ He looks again at her scar and unconsciously rubs the one mirrored on his own neck. ]
no subject
And she laughs, because Morgan.]
Wow, even our scars are pretty close to matching! That's like the story of us, right? Pretty-close-to-matching-but-not-the-same Timeline Twins!
I'm glad this place is sticking with the pattern!
no subject
[ Only a Morgan could be so cheered by this... ]
What are the chances, huh? Yours looks a little more vicious, but I definitely see the resemblance. I'll be glad if Haven doesn't see fit to duplicate the rest of our scars, though.
no subject
We can only hope, right? That would just be rude.
[And then she flops back on the bed, because she's still exhausted and woozy despite her good cheer.]
Noire's all right, right? I mean, as all right as anyone can be who just died.
no subject
... Well, I'd say you two look like peas in a tired pod. Speaking of which, I'm here to retrieve you! If you're up for it, I'll carry you over to her place. Recovering is slightly less grueling with a friend!

[.... she pauses, as if realizing for the first time--]
Whoa, you really are that much bigger than me, aren't you? Huh! Somehow, I never really noticed!
[......... huh!]
Can I sit on your shoulders?
no subject
Hmm. You know, now that you mention it, you are pretty small! I guess your big personality makes up for it.
Anyway, sure! I don't see why not. I won't be as tall a ride as Sakon, though.
no subject
Oh, that's fine! I still think it'd be really great, hee hee!
[THE POWER...THE HEIGHT....THE...everything.... ]
Somehow, the longer we're together, the more differences we find, huh?
no subject
Yup. But it's a lot more interesting this way, don't you think? And the way I see it, our differences make up for each other! If I'm a pushover, then you're a pusher over!
[ It balances out...?! And he gestures for her to sit on the edge of her bed. ]
no subject
But she just scoots on over to sit on the edge of the bed, allowing him to take the lead. Mostly because she's giggling too hard.]
Huh, really, you think so? I mean, it's true that your pushover aspects shine brightly, but you've got a surprisingly hard head beneath all of that!
I think you're just nice because you can be nice. Which is really sweet! [but she doesn't think he's as much of a pushover as he seemed at first...especially after the whole Grima fiasco.]
no subject
That's a nice way of putting it, but there's no arguing that next to you, I've got the forcefulness of a bunny. Which is just fine -- between us, I bet we could befriend any type of person in Haven! Villainous types aside.
[ He can't toss her up and catch her with his shoulders(!!!??) so he has to make do with lifting her up bodily and sitting her on the top bunk, then turning around so she can hop on. The woes of the physically normal. ]
no subject
But he's got a point, and she just grins as he maneuvers them to a point where she can get herself onto his shoulders.
What a good timeline twin. And when she's settled, she just pats him on the head, because let's be real here, it's rare that she gets to.]
Hee hee, thanks for this, Morgan!
[anyway back to the topic of conversation.]
Anyway, I think you're probably right. Maybe even the villainous types too! They need friends too, right?
[so long as they don't like...kill people. She draws the line there--and at people harming her friends, but you know.]
Stilllllll...that sounds like quite the challenge! Do we dare undertake it?
[BEFRIENDING EVERYONE IN HAVEN...]
no subject
I don't see why we shouldn't! There's no harm in it [
except to our inboxes] and everyone here is so one-of-a-kind that it's worth getting to know them. What's the worst that could happen?(no subject)
